Transportation to Silfra, swimwear, a towel, personal travel insurance, a waterproof phone or camera, and additional food or beverages are not included.

Participants must be at least 16 years old, be comfortable swimming, have good physical health, complete the required medical questionnaire, be comfortable in cold water, and follow all guide instructions.

The water temperature in Silfra remains between 2–4°C (35–39°F) throughout the year.
